I can understand why; each worm probably can provide a family of six with a day's meal.

The problem is that the earth hasn't got enough nutrition for this kind of worm. Or it's just because of global warming. Everything is wrong because of global warming :), isn't it ?!?

i remember my bio teacher saying something about these, they're a pest to Australian farmers so the farmers get togeather and have a worm killing party. They take a bunch of stakes and pound them into the ground at the same time. this annoys the worms and they come up because it's loud underground. Then the neighborhood children tie a knot in the worm which prevents it from going back underground and it dies.
